From Gaytou, a 25 minute drive through the beautiful countryside to Lacapelle Biron and then down the narrow and winding Gavadun Valley past "l'Arc en Ciel" nature garden and park (worth a visit) until reaching this ruined fortress standing on its isolated rock with the village below. Gavadun dates back almost to pre-history and figures in all of the conflicts that have crossed France. Fanastic when seen floodlit at night. The tiny village is also worth exploring.
